For Clients

Your Questions, Answered.

Everything you need to know before booking your appointment.

The Process

Wills Made Easy connects Canadians with licensed local lawyers to prepare a complete will package in a single appointment. You book online, a local lawyer meets with you for approximately one hour, and you leave with a completed will, enduring power of attorney, and personal healthcare directive.

After booking you’ll receive a confirmation email with your appointment details and a short intake questionnaire. It takes about 10–15 minutes to complete. Your lawyer uses your answers to prepare all documents in advance — so when you arrive, you’re reviewing and signing, not starting from scratch.

Most appointments are completed in 45–60 minutes. If you have a more complex situation — multiple properties, a trust, or special instructions — it may run a little longer. Your lawyer will let you know in advance if that applies.

Bring one piece of valid government-issued photo ID. Beyond that, your intake questionnaire covers everything — your family, assets, beneficiaries, and wishes. Your lawyer takes care of the rest before you arrive.

Your Documents

Every Wills Made Easy appointment produces three documents: a Last Will and Testament, an Enduring Power of Attorney, and a Personal Healthcare Directive (also called a living will). All three are signed, witnessed, and legally complete before you leave.

Yes. All documents are prepared by a licensed lawyer in your province and meet the legal requirements of your jurisdiction. Your will is valid and enforceable anywhere in Canada.

Yes. We recommend reviewing your will after any major life event — marriage, divorce, new children, or significant changes to your assets. You can update your documents at any time by booking a new appointment.

Store your originals somewhere safe — a fireproof box, a safe, or with a trusted family member. Let your executor and power of attorney know where to find them. Your lawyer can advise on the best approach for your situation at the appointment.

Pricing & Payment

Pricing varies by province and package. Visit our Pricing page for full details. There are no hidden fees or surprise charges — what you see is what you pay.

We accept all major credit and debit cards. Payment is collected at your appointment.

You can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before your appointment at no charge. Cancellations within 24 hours may be subject to a fee. If something comes up, contact us — we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Availability

We currently serve clients across Canada. Coverage varies by location — enter your postal code on the booking page to see available lawyers near you.

In most areas, appointments are available within a few days. Some locations may have longer lead times depending on local demand. You’ll see real-time availability when you book.

Appointments are in-person to ensure your documents are properly witnessed and notarized.

We’re expanding across Canada and adding new lawyers regularly. If your area isn’t covered yet, leave your email on the booking page and we’ll notify you as soon as a lawyer becomes available near you.

Considering a Partnership?

Everything you need to know about the WME lawyer partnership model.

The Model

Wills Made Easy is a national estate planning service. We handle marketing, client acquisition, booking, and document preparation. You join as a licensed legal professional who delivers appointments — one-hour sessions where you review, advise on, execute, and notarize a client’s complete estate plan.

It’s a professional services partnership. You’re not employed by WME and you’re not a franchisee. You operate as an independent professional using our platform and brand. The relationship is contractual and straightforward.

Yes — that’s how most WME partners use it. WME appointments sit alongside your existing practice. Partners typically run WME on specific days or time blocks, leaving the rest of their week for their own clients.

No. WME’s system handles document preparation before the client arrives. You need to be a competent licensed professional who can review documents, answer questions, make adjustments, and notarize. We train you on the WME process and templates during onboarding.

Earnings & Time Commitment

The standard appointment fee is $395 – $495. You keep 75% — approximately $296 – $371 per appointment. There’s no income ceiling. Visit our Earnings page for a full breakdown.

That’s entirely up to you. You set your availability and we fill it. Some partners take a handful of appointments per month as supplemental income; others build a significant volume.

You will collect payment from the client at the appointment. WME will invoice you for our services.

No minimum appointments, no minimum hours. The model is designed to flex around your schedule and goals.

Professional & Legal

Yes. All lawyer partners must maintain active professional liability (malpractice) insurance as required by their provincial law society. You’ll confirm coverage during onboarding.

Yes. Active membership and good standing with your provincial law society is a firm requirement to partner with Wills Made Easy.

You are. As the licensed professional, you are responsible for the legal advice, document review, and all professional obligations related to each appointment. WME provides the platform and the client — not legal oversight.

Yes, in provinces where notaries are licensed to prepare and execute estate documents. Eligibility is confirmed during the application process based on your province and credentials.

Getting Started

Click “Apply to Partner” and complete the short application form. We’ll review your details and follow up within a few business days.

Most lawyers are onboarded within one to two weeks, depending on credential verification and province. We move as fast as we can.

Yes. We limit the number of lawyers per city to make sure each partner receives a meaningful volume of appointments. If your city has an opening, we encourage you to apply soon.
